Crohn's Symptoms and Foods

My boyfriend has Crohn's disease. Sometimes he exhibits no symptoms and sometimes his symptoms are really bad, especially after he eats certain foods. I love to cook but worry that my dishes will cause his Crohn's symtpoms to flare up. Any tips?
